“Looks like a network production.”
~ Dick & Sue |
If there is one phrase you will read over and over on these pages,
it is “every wedding video is different just as every wedding day is different.”
And just as every wedding is unique, there are some elements you can expect in all weddings.
In that spirit, we have listed the elements that make up most of our productions.
Not every production will have all of these elements--and maybe yours will have something we haven’t
thought of yet!
Wedding Day Coverage
The list below suggests some of the elements
people have included in their wedding videos.
We can work with you to help you decide which are right for you...
Preparing for the Moment
Many couples like to see the preparations immediately before the wedding.
The brides maids preparing the bride’s hair;
the first view of the wedding gown;
the groom getting into his tux;
the flowers being pinned onto the wedding party.
And the comments everyone makes while they prepare you for the big day.
If you chose to include these moments,
a camera will discretely follow you as you get ready.
You may not notice that we are there,
but you will see some touching moments you never would be able to see otherwise.
Ceremony
We cover the ceremony from a variety of angles so you don’t miss a thing.
Inconspicuous microphones capture your words with clarity.
Truly the best seat in the house will be on your sofa watching the wedding video.
You can choose a full length presentation of the ceremony.
Because the DVD will include chapter points, you can find exactly the part of
the ceremony your want to see.
If you prefer a “short form” ceremony,
we will create a theatrical-style production showing the highlights of the ceremony.
This format is becoming popular because it focuses on the most memorable parts of the ceremony.
Reception
We will be there for all the highlights:
your first entrance as a married couple;
the toasts;
the first dance;
the cutting of the cake;
and all the other events that make your reception special.
A favorite part of the reception is the section where we interview the guests.
Your family and friends will have a chance to share their feelings and stories.
Some of them will be touching tributes.
And some will have a little fun!
Finale
If you choose to have a finale, we will take highlights of the ceremony
or the reception--or both--and set them to the music you enjoy.
Features of the
DVD
Your production will be available on DVD as well as standard VHS tape.
The DVD format allows us to include other extras:
We create menus using images from your video--no “stock” menus:
everything is inspired by your wedding.
Chapter points will allow you to jump to any part of the video you want to see.
If you would like to provide audio commentary during the ceremony,
that can be placed on a second audio track...some weddings have moments you just have to explain!
Special Productions
Many couples want to celebrate their love with special productions.
These productions are prepared before the wedding day.
They are often shown during the reception.
Love
Story
The love story is your chance to tell the story of your romance in
words, music, and pictures.
How you met.
The first date.
The moment you knew it was something special.
The proposal.
You will tell it all in your own words.
Our camera will travel with you to the location that provides the best backdrop for your story.
A love story may include still photos you have gathered over the years.
And we set it all to music.
The love story is typically prepared in advance so it can be shown at the reception.
If you chose to include a love story, it will certainly become the centerpiece of your production.
And, if you are blessed with children, it will let them see the story of your romance first hand.
Photomontage
A popular variation on the love story is a photomontage.
Bring us still photos of your childhood and courtship and we will set them to music.
A photomontage can be prepared in advance, so it can be used at your reception.
It provides the perfect introduction to your entrance or to the toasts.
